Cenelec Standards Inspections Ltd specialise in Electrical and Instrument Hazardous Area Inspection & Maintenance for clients requiring support to comply with the mandatory Requirements of BS EN 60079-17, DSEAR (Dangerous Substances in Explosive Atmospheres Regulations), The Equipment Directive ATEX 94/9/EC and the workers Directive ATEX 99/92/EC.

Utilising Cenelec ‘s bespoke software application on ATEX certified PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) devices, our field personnel capture extensive Inspection Data and Maintenance requirements in line with ‘Close’, ‘Visual’ and ‘Detailed’ grades of Inspection supported by the clients Hazardous Area Classification drawings.

Our CompEx approved Inspectors inspect each item of equipment within defined Hazardous Areas and identify with our own bespoke inspection tag.

To ensure the process is efficient the Inspection data is downloaded from the PDA and sent to Cenelec Standards Head Office IT server for Quality checks via VPN (Virtual Private Network).

Our customers are then issued with passwords to access extensive information relating to the project via the ‘client login’ associated with this website.

  • Inspection Check Sheets
  • Inspection Job Cards
  • Certificates of Conformity relevant to the site
  • Current status performance pie charts (live data statistics in-line with same day field activity)
  • Non Conforming picture gallery (field non conformance pictures).
  • Hazardous Area Classification drawings
  • Downloadable spreadsheets incorporating extensive data headers.

The emphasis on quality and efficiency is paramount, our systems are accredited to the new UKAS QA ISO9001-2008 Quality systems which has superseded ISO9001-2000 and have been audited by principal HSE (Health and Safety Executive) personnel.

DSEAR Compliance Certification is provided and endorsed by the UKAS awarding body for quality.
